Open Day 10.10.15
We are getting ready for our Urban Farm Day on 10th October, 2015 and we need some help from our volunteers to tidy up the site and paint our horse float cafe inside. Thanks to Rockcote they have donated some paint and it is time to get the paint out and finish it off. 9 a.m. to 12noon this Saturday 3rd October, 2015.

Lois is going to bring some scorers, turps & sugar soap. If you are coming to help please bring some gloves, rollers & paint brushes. If anyone has a small step ladder it would also be helpful. I thought we could go to the Back Page Sports Tavern (opposite the garden) for pizza afterwards.
It is hard to believe but we are celebrating our first anniversary of opening our site in Carrara on 10 October, 2015 and have our monthly workshop on 24 October 2015. Please see details of both below.

Come and join Gold Coast Permaculture to celebrate our first anniversary at our new site in Carrara for free workshops, stalls and garden tours. Learn about the new activities we have in the garden for children and our women’s gatherings and how you can get involved as either a community gardener or volunteer.

Saturday 24 October 10am-12pm
Greg Plevey from Wormtec will be talking about growing plants organically in both pots, organic hydroponics and verticle hydroponics. Greg will show you how he grows his high brix vegetables in both normal and verticle hydroponics organically & will have a display on site so you can see how it all works for yourself, so that you can go home with another option for small space garderning.
These workshops are in conjunction with GCCC Active and Healthy Program.
Morning tea included. Cost $20/$10 concession.
